How can I pay, and in which currency?
Checkout opens a secure payment page run by Stripe. The ways to pay shown in the store are Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal, and the payment page shows exactly which are available for you. We never see or store your card details. Payment is taken when you place the order.
Prices are in pounds, the same wherever you are. Outside the UK the store also shows roughly what a price comes to in your own currency, as a guide only. Stripe's payment page usually offers to take payment in your own currency: it shows the exact amount before you pay, at Stripe's exchange rate, which includes a conversion fee, and you can choose to pay in pounds instead. If you pay in your own currency, any refund goes back in that currency at the same rate.
If a payment does not go through, nothing is charged and nothing is made: your order page says so, and you are welcome to order again.
