Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site sets, what it is for, and how to switch it off. No advertising cookies, and nothing sold or shared with ad networks.
We use cookies for three things: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and counting visits so we know which parts of the site are worth improving.
We do not run advertising cookies. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with ad networks. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you will be asked again.
You are asked before anything optional is set, and you can change your mind at any time from your profile.
This policy is between you and Daniel Newman Racing Ltd, who own and run danielnewmanracing.com. It covers the website only. What we do with personal data more broadly is set out in our Privacy Policy, and the two should be read together.
A cookie is a small text file the site asks your browser to keep. It lets one page remember something from the last one, which is how you stay signed in when you move around the site.
A cookie on its own usually says nothing about who you are. Some of ours are tied to your account once you sign in, and where that happens it is handled under the Privacy Policy.

Analytics

| dnr_acq | Records how you first found us and what brought you back most recently, for example a link from a video or a search. We use it to understand which of the places we talk about DNR actually reach people. It holds the campaign details from the link you followed and the name of the site that referred you, never the full address you came from. If you create an account, this is saved against it so we still know months later. Set by us, never shared with anyone, never used to advertise to you. Expires after 90 days. |
These are only set once you accept analytics. Until then Google Consent Mode holds the Google ones back, and dnr_acq is not written at all.
Change your mind whenever you like from your profile. Preferences and analytics can both be switched off there.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Every browser does this differently, so its own help pages are the best guide, and aboutcookies.org covers the general ground.
Blocking the essential ones will stop you signing in, because the site has no other way to tell who you are. Blocking the rest simply means the site forgets your preferences between visits.
We update this page when the cookies change, and the date at the top tells you when that last happened. If we ever add a kind of cookie we do not use today, advertising above all, we will ask for your consent again rather than rely on consent you gave for something else.
