FAQTechnical & Profiles

I have two LED devices. Which profile goes on the second one?

Load the RPM profile onto every LED device you want lit. Each device keeps its own settings, so they cannot get in each other's way.

This changed with per-device settings. The number of side LEDs used to be one value shared by the whole rig, so two differently shaped devices read the same numbers and one of them always drew in the wrong place. Each device now carries its own, and the plugin works it out from the strip rather than asking you.

Pick the device at the top of Daniel Newman Racing > RPM Telemetry and everything below belongs to that device alone:

  • Its own Telemetry Function, so the wheel can show revs while a DDU shows brake pressure or the fuel gauge
  • Its own effect positions, colours, brightness and idle animation
  • Its own side LED count, worked out from the strip and the profile you installed

So a DDU can run the full rev bar while a wheel rim or a second strip runs something different alongside it, each configured on its own.

A few settings are shared on purpose and say so on screen, such as the brake blink stages, which read "Share the same value in Telemetry Tab".
