Is my basket saved? Why has it gone?

Your basket is kept in this browser, on this device. It is not stored on your account, so a basket made on your phone does not appear on your computer. It stays until you order or remove things.

• Private or incognito windows may forget it when the tab closes.
• After you pay, the basket empties, because those items are now your order.
• Backing out of the payment page brings you back to your basket with everything still in it. A payment page you leave open expires after an hour.
• "You already have several checkouts open" means unpaid payment pages are still open: finish paying in one of them, or try again in an hour.
• A basket holds up to 20 different items, and the basket tells you if you reach the most you can order of one item.

If you are signed in with store news on and leave without paying, one reminder email can put the basket back for you.
