Are my plugin settings backed up?
Your DNR settings are kept on your account automatically, so a reinstall or a new PC does not cost you your setup.
What happens on its own. Shortly after you change a setting, the plugin saves a copy of your settings to your DNR account. It keeps recent copies densely and older ones more sparsely, so you can go back to this morning or to before an update. You do not have to do anything, and there is nothing to remember.
Getting it back. Open the plugin, go to Universal Settings, then Backup & Restore. Pick the copy you want and the plugin shows you exactly what it would change before anything happens, including which of your devices it recognises on this PC. If a restore was not what you wanted, one button puts the machine straight back.
Named setups. From Team Driver upward you can also save the settings exactly as they are under a name you choose, and switch back to them whenever you like. Team Driver keeps 3, Team Principal keeps 10.
What is covered. Your colours, effects, presets, telemetry settings and per device setup.
What is not. LED profiles and dashboards are separate files and far larger, so they are not included. You can reinstall those from your dashboard at any time.
Each PC is backed up separately, so if you run two rigs they each keep their own history and you choose which one to restore from. Backups need a Pit Crew membership or above. If your membership lapses, everything already saved stays available to view, restore and delete.
There is also a settings file. On the plugin's Home page, Manage plugin data exports everything to a single file you keep yourself. That one is free on every plan and works with no internet. Use it when you want a copy you control; cloud backup is the one that looks after itself.
