How long a seat lasts
Until you remove it, by default. A seat has no clock of its own. It stays with the person for as long as your Enterprise subscription is running, and it ends when you press Remove seat on the Seats page, or when the subscription itself ends. Nothing to renew, no date to watch.
A fixed term is there if you want one. When you send an invitation or generate a seat code you can pick 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months instead. That suits owners who resell seats on a set period. A fixed term seat ends at the earlier of that term and your subscription, and its row shows the date it ends.
Changing your mind. Open a fixed term seat's row menu and choose Change seat term. Pick more months, or pick Until removed and the clock comes off.
Taking a seat back. Open the person's row and choose Remove seat. They lose Enterprise access straight away, the seat is free to give to somebody else, and their own account, settings and laps are untouched. Tell them first: to them it looks like the plugin stopping.
If somebody lost access unexpectedly, the usual cause is a fixed term running out. Seats handed out before September 2026 all carry a fixed term, because until removed did not exist yet. Switch them to until removed from the row menu and it will not happen again.
