FAQAccount & Getting Started

What are backup codes and how do I use them?

Backup codes are one-time-use recovery codes generated when you set up two-factor authentication. They allow you to sign in if you lose access to your authenticator app.

Important things to know:

  • Each code can only be used once and is invalidated after use
  • Store your codes somewhere safe - a password manager is ideal
  • When you run out, disable and re-enable 2FA to generate a fresh set

To use a backup code during sign-in:

  1. On the 2FA verification screen, click Lost access? Use a backup code
  2. Enter one of your saved backup codes
  3. Click Verify to sign in

If you've lost both your authenticator app and all your backup codes, please contact support@danielnewmanracing.com for account recovery assistance.
