What are DNR Overlays and how do I set them up?
Overlays are small panels DNR draws on top of the game on your monitor, for people racing on a single screen with no separate dashboard.
The set includes a Leaderboard, a Relative, a Radar proximity display showing cars around you to avoid contact, a Map, Sectors comparing your sector times against your best and the session best, Inputs, a Speedo with gear and key driving data, Flags, Tyres, Fuel, Brows, and a Rivals panel comparing your segment performance against your community rivals.
Set them up in Daniel Newman Racing > Overlays. Quick setup puts your overlays on screen in one click. For each overlay you can then set:
- Position and Size on screen
- Background opacity, from 0 fully transparent to 100 fully solid
- Content opacity, with a minimum of 10 so it stays readable
- Start with the game, so SimHub starts that overlay by itself every time a game connects
- Keep visible in menus and pauses, which keeps overlays on screen even when no game is running
The Leaderboard overlay lets you choose which columns are shown and drag them into the order you want, with a live preview, and whether to show drivers from other classes. The Map overlay has a zoom setting for the dynamic map, and the Flags overlay can use an animated shading on top of the flags or a flat static flag.
