How do the redline and shift flash settings work?

Redline Behaviour decides what the top of the rev bar does when you reach the shift point. Flashing (the default) flashes the bar at you, and Static simply holds it lit.

Last Gear Redline controls whether the redline flash still happens in your highest gear. Many drivers turn it off, because in top gear there is nothing left to shift into and the flashing is just noise.

Redline values come from one of two places:

  • DNR Redline Values (the default) uses preset shift points from the DNR database, which are tuned per car
  • SimHub per Car Settings values hands the decision back to SimHub, so you can set the shift point yourself in SimHub's own per car settings

Redline settings on this page are global. They reach every compatible device, not just the one whose page you are on.

Eyebrows and flag boxes have their own redline options. Eyebrows can Copy RPMs Theme or run a Custom Brows Theme, and both they and flag boxes can be Static or Flashing independently. Steering wheel buttons can also flash at redline, which is worth turning on if you have no dashboard or DDU.
