What is DNR PULSE?

DNR PULSE is how your car data reaches your rig. The car data is what your rev bars are drawn from: the shift points and rev light behaviour for the car you are driving.

It used to live inside the profile file. That is why a new car, or a car that got renamed, once meant waiting for a new profile and reinstalling it. The car data is now held by the plugin itself and fitted to your device, so a new car needs nothing downloaded and nothing reinstalled.

It updates itself. PULSE checks for a newer set, normally once when SimHub starts. You can also press Check for new car data now on the plugin's LED page. New car data is used from the next profile install or refit.

It cannot leave you worse off. If anything is wrong, no internet, a bad download, or a file that is not signed by DNR, it falls back to the copy built into the plugin. A rig can never end up with less car data than it shipped with.

The plugin shows which set is in play, reading Car data in use followed by the version.
