What is "mask learning" in Ambient Lights?
DNR watches the screen as you start driving to separate the live game view from the static cockpit, then samples only the moving areas.
When you start driving, DNR watches the screen for a few moments to work out which areas are the live game view (they move) versus the static cockpit/wheel (they don't). Once learned, it samples only the moving game areas.
In menus there's no cockpit, so it captures the whole screen.
